We Believe Safety Comes First!

Each Gertie Crib is hand crafted by legendary German Master Carpenters at the state-of-the-art factory of KayserBetten located in the picturesque town of Bad Fallingbostel, Germany. KayserBetten has been manufacturing cribs with innovative designs for over 30 years.

Ultimate In Safety…

Standard cribs need to lower the mattress height as the child grows. Waiting too long to make the adjustment can result in a real danger of climbing out and the threat of serious injury. With the Gertie, this problem is eliminated. The Gertie is at a fixed matress height, with 32 inch high side-rails and doors. The Gertie is completely safe from day one and eliminates the climbing out problem.

All cribs have to meet mandated safety standards. But… broken, worn or missing parts can impact on safety, even though the crib passed the initial standards. As the crib is assembled, disassembled and reassembled and goes through another child, the safety may be compromised.

The Gertie maintains safety standards through multiple assembly/disassembly cycles as the crib is passed from child to child and generation to generation.

Strategic Structure & Design:

Gertie Crib’s trend setting design offers a safe and suitable alternative to once popular but now banned drop side cribs.

Patented side wall of the crib can be either partially or fully opened by using two or four doors. With partially opened doors, the baby can be totally accessed at ergonomic height while being secure inside. Full opening of the side wall allows easy access to the remotest areas inside the crib for cleaning.

Our patented interlocking system prevents you from accidently leaving the doors open while the baby is in the crib.

Gertie Crib design eliminates the need to adjust the height of the sleep platform as the child grows. Its high side rails allow the toddler to use the crib up to 2 years of age without worrying that the toddler may climb out and fall.

Gertie Cribs are built to be handed down as heirlooms for generations.
